Hello fellow Yahoo-Answerers!
Here is some random information. I am 17, male, 150 lbs. I am not sure of my exact fat percentage although I am sure it is <18. 15-18 I would say. Currently my goal is to get six pack abs.
Every day I have been eating 1300-1600 calories total. Drinking the recommended 8 cups of water or more. Been eating small meals all day. I workout almost every day hitting every muscle group a couple times a week. Every other day I am doing a couple hundred crunches, and some leg raises, and some bicycle crunches.
I plan to add in SOME cardio. Although I am sure my pushups, bench pressing / lifting burns a fair amount of calories.
Is my current plan going to eventually lead to a six pack? Any suggestions on what I should add to it?
Thanks a lot!

Not sure if it will lead to abs, it probably will, but most importantly it sounds like a very healthy lifestyle. Keep it up
Wow seems like you are doing all the right things. If you are a 24 hours fitness member you can do the "Abs express" class and it really works out your abs. I can feel the results in one day. I’m sure if you do take the class everyday, you’ll get a six pack sooner than you think.
I would go heavier on the cardio. While weight lifting will burn calories, cardio is better for burning fat. One of the best things you can do to burn a lot of fat is to perform cardio immediately after a weight lifting session (only if muscle gain is not a goal), because your body will be in a fat burning mode.
If you can handle taking in only 1500 calories a day, go for it, but this seems like it would be very difficult to keep up if you’re exercising heavily. I’d bring that up to around 2,000 calories spread out, and just make sure they’re quality calories like whole grains and unsaturated fats, lean proteins and the like. Otherwise, you’ve got the right idea. And doing weighted ab crunches, like some ab muscle machine at a gym, would be better than simple crunches and it would take a lot less time. They put much more strain on the muscles.
yes the leg lifts are the best…..i was in tei kwon doe…and i used leg lifts to tuffin up my abs,,,worked will…got some trophies…good luck bro
